Shots of the Day: 15.02.08

Bad day for highway cameras. The light was grey and difficult all day with snow falling and obscuring the view on half the cameras. Three of the cameras were out of service today and it was pretty clear the north of the province got hit harder than the south. Not the best of views today. It was interesting however to see weather systems sweep across the province. It looks like Welsford had the best day so we will focus on them today.

I was watching the bridge camera for the Confederation Bridge last night and watched what looked like emergency vehicles stopped on the bridge and the camera was rocking like crazy. Must have been an accident and heavy wind but I did not hear anything on the news.

Shots of the Day: 14.02.08

They seem to be up to something in Durham Bridge.

Evening traffic in Dieppe. It would appear that some of the cameras have an automatic adjustment to the light and take a longer exposure. It gives a nice effect.

This is one of the Brun Way cameras and the set up is designed to give a calendar style photo any time the light is good. It will probably show up as a Shot of the Day camera more than the other cameras.


Two of the cameras (Shediac Bridge and Moosehorn Creek) were down today and two more were obscured by frost or snow. All in all though the cameras gave a nice slice of the day in NB.
